International Conference on “Early Childhood Education -The first step to the right to education: Asian perspectives”

In the light of the recent Right to Education Act in India, Association for Early Childhood Education and Development (AECED), India, is hosting an International conference on “Early Childhood Education - The first step to the right to education: Asian perspectives” to discuss how countries across the region of South-East Asia are addressing the issue of early childhood education and how it connects with the child’s Right to Education.
The conference is scheduled for the 23rd to 26th September, 2010. The conference will be held in the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India. The conference will bring together people working in the fields of early childhood and primary education from the governmental and non-governmental sectors, from across the Asia region. The conference will be of relevance not only for academics working in the field of early childhood and education, but also for practitioners, activists, policy makers, and all stakeholders who work with children.
