Teacher federation set to formally oppose PPP in education

The All Utkal Primary Teachers Federation is all set to formally oppose the Public-private partnerships in elementary education. During interaction with Mr.Kamalakanta Tripathy,State General Secretary of the federation said that the government is trying to deshoulder its responsibility to handle education.
Education is a serious matter and there should not be any play on it.There is a need of National system of public education.At one point, govt. is saying a 9% fiscal growth but on the other hand, they are interested in PPP due to lack of fund.This is unjustified.
Mr.Tripathy also raised valid points and issues like teaching workforce management, RTE Act and education for all(EFA) goals, influence of private investors on education policy.
But regarding quality education and out reach to every children, he admitted that private schools do better job so far as academic and learning achievements are concerned among children.
